Perfect Pink Pants and Summer Running

May 30, 2012

Yesterday I woke up early with this sign looming over me in my bathroom.

Now that I am OFICALLY ON SUMMER VACATION it’s time to bump up this milage.

If you are a teacher you know that the only thing better than molding young minds is knowing you have eleven weeks of vacation.

My first summer run consisted of an impressive 2.25 miles. It felt pathetic. My endurance is almost shot, legs are still sore from Crossfit and Arkansas is already one million degrees.

Some runs almost feel like you are starting all over. This was that kind of run.

I spent the rest of the day packing for a full month of traveling.

And then went on a mission to find the perfect pair of pink pants….

I’ve been looking for pink pants for months. I’m loving the bright colored denims sold everywhere but most feel cheap and look awful if you have any kind of curves. I finally found a comfortable and appropriately fitting pair today.

I bought these colored denims from Francesca’s. They are SO soft and actually made for bodies that are not a size 0. They don’t make me feel like I’m wearing newspaper (like the ones from Target) and they fit the way I like them, almost too tight but not painted on.

They were $48.00. If they had the mint in stock, I would have bought those too. Perfect pants for summer! Mission accomplished.

Have you found affordable colored denims anywhere that fit well? I’m pretty sure I’m going to need more.

Sorry about the bummer run! Those are the worst. The heat is brutal though and it really can make big difference (and not for the better!)

You’ll get back up to the mileage you were doing before! It just takes some time :) Don’t worry there are still plenty of months left to the year!

    Nice pink pants!

    Just found your blog!
I love designer denim but they are soooo expensive. I”ll try them on at the store and then I’ll just stalk ebay until some turns up in the trend I am looking for. I’ve gotten pairs for under $20! I’ve seriously never been let down by this system.

The best bright denim is by Urban Outfitters line, BDG. I have kelly green and I’ve been shocked at what all I can pair with them. I am now going to get a cantaloupe color. They also have different lengths (full, ankle, etc.) p.s. they are fifty something bones but I think on sale right now. June always = SALE. That’s about the only math I know…

I can’t imagine what it is like to run in that heat. The fact that you managed to get out and run a few miles is fantastic!

And those pants are absolutely awesome. If I had a touch more confidence, I’d be rocking them as well!

I have been looking for pink and mint jeans. I do have a Francesca’s close by, I love that place. Yay! I see shopping in the very near future.

Love those pink pants! I found some super comfy ones at Gap that I absolutely love. They only had teal, though, so I couldn’t stock up on tons of fun colors:(
